Timeline of ODI Hundreds by Indian Batsmen

On 18 June 1983
After 58 centuries in 215 matches in ODI cricket since 1971, the first century by an Indian batsman was scored. India were playing their 45th ODI and before that the highest score by an Indian was 95 by Kris Srikkanth but no hundreds. In the match against Zimbabwe in the 1983 World Cup, KAPIL DEV became the first Indian to score an ODI century. It was a special one and still one of the best ODI inning.
